Exciting times coming up this week, as we have 2 members of the EcoLighting team heading off to Hong Kong & China for 7 days!  Our Managing Director, Martin Needham, & Development Director, Steve Gardner, will both be heading out on Wednesday 26th November, for their week long trip. Over the course of the week, they will be aim to keep up to date with the latest technology, and also cast an eye over some of our current products being developed.

Their 1st point of call is Hong Kong. During their time there, they will be attending the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair. Taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.  Martin & Steve will be attending on Friday 28th, and Saturday 29th. The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair, is the largest lighting fair in Asia. Exhibits include commercial lighting, household lighting, LED & green lighting, smart lighting & solutions, testing & certification, and finally, trade service & publication. An exiting showplace, displaying the very latest in trends, technology & innovative design. Last years fair, in 2015,  featured more than 2,550 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions and attracted more than 38,000 buyers. Additional information can be found on their official website, at the following link... http://www.hktdc.com/fair/hklightingfairae-en/HKTDC-Hong-Kong-International-Lighting-Fair-Autumn-Edition.html.

Once the fair is wrapped up, then it's off to China! On the Monday & Tuesday, Martin & Steve will be making some factory visits, overseeing some of our current products in production. Some of the products being developed that they will be looking at are our 'Sapphire' & 'Medusa' range. While visiting the factories, any ideas or concerns will be able to be discussed, all with the aim of making our products the very best that they can possibly be. For any superstitious people who may be reading this, the date of Monday's visit will be October 31st, which of course, is Halloween. So let's hope there's no scares in the development of our products!!

The factory visits will be the last point of call, then it's back home to the UK for both Martin, and Steve, who will be landing back in the early hours on Wednesday 2nd November. Knowing Martin & Steve, they will be busy back at work later that day - no rest for the wicked! On their return to work, they will hopefully be able to bring to the table some new ideas and information regarding the latest technology, and innovative product designs. All while keeping the values and traditions that we are known for.

Next week, we hope to provide an update, detailing how the trip went. So make sure to head back to our news section to find out how Martin & Steve got on.
