mda specialise in the design, procurement, storage and distribution of marketing materials for brands across Europe.

mda has taken a 10-year lease of a 111,151 sq ft letting at M6 Epic 110, the recently completed distribution facility in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan, with intent to expand the fulfilment centre by a further 70,000 sq ft.

A complete fresh fit out was required of this brand new unit from power and equipment to storage and of course, lighting.

Ecolighting were chosen because of their previous Successful LED installations at Blackburn and Rugby. The project was proposed as a complete solution for MDA who, like all our customers, wanted a seemless and professional service from recognised experts.

As with all our warehousing projects, the Pegasus LED high bay was used. All with integrated occupancy and daylight harvesting sensor to maximise efficiency. What makes the Pegasus so favourable is not just the efficacy of the light source, but also the shape and optical design, meaning that one variation of the Pegasus can be used to maximum effect in open areas, and another version in the aisles. The same can be said for the Altos Emergency LED high bay. The Ecolighting designs are always made to maximise return on investment for clients without compromising on safety or the environmental quality of the lighting.

This project took 3-4 weeks to complete, including the subsidiary power supply works around the building.
