Lens-Online Ltd specialise in the storage and distribution of optical goods to the industry.

A new pick tower was required at their facility in Kiddiminster, so Lens-Online got in touch with Link 51 for their storage solutions. Link 51 are the UK’s leading suppliers of storage equipment, with a product range that includes pallet racking, mobile and static shelving, lockers, cupboards, workstations, tray storage systems and small parts storage systems.

Ecolighting were chosen because of their long standing relationship with Link 51. Ecolighting have been providing quality lighting installations to many of Link 51’s customers over the past few years, and Link 51 find the designs and professional staff at Ecolighting in keeping with their own high standards.

For this site, over 130 batten style luminaries were required throught the floors of the pick tower. It was decided that the Sapphire LED batten fitting was the best choice, due to the integrated occupancy sensor, low profile, aesthetic appeal and high efficacy. On the top floors, where daylight could be used, a dimmable sensor was integrated, meaning even less wasted energy for Lens-Online.

Whilst on site, Ecolighting also arranged for the installation of a fire protection system from one of their  trusted partners. This whole process was well co-ordinated by an Ecolighting dedicated project manager, who ensures that everything runs smoothly.

Lens-Online are expecting this new development to improve their efficiency and capacity, therefore, further improving their levels of service to their customer.
