- EcolightingUK making light work for major retailer
Following a rigorous tender process, EcolightinkUK were awarded the contract to light up a multi-tier picking centre for one of the most prominent retailers on the market today.
Ecolighting were asked to design and offer a full turn-key solution which is one of their key strengths, which in turn make the installation and communication easier for the client.
A new lighting bus bar system was installed along with Ecolightings 60w Tri-Proof Sapphire with integrated Photocell and PIR presence detector, generating more than 300 lux at floor level. A total of 588 Sapphire fittings and over 200 emergency fittings were installed over the 4 floors.
Emergency lighting to BS5266 standards were also installed.
One of the main reasons Ecolighting were chosen was because of their previous experience of working in a diverse modular picking system and having to work around multi-trades to complete milestones and tight deadlines, this ability did not go unnoticed by the customer who has suggested Ecolighting review the rest of the site to identify further energy saving opportunities.
