LED lighting specialist EcolightingUK is ending 2019 on a high as the company has recently been recognised as complying with the ISO:14001 and latest ISO:9001 standards.

Managing Director, Steve Gardner, is delighted with the company’s progress, commenting, “Last year we won some significant projects around the country allowing us to continue to invest in our people and our products. With the development of our team into key operational roles, this will strengthen our scope, capacity and expertise in pre-sales, delivery and quality.”

Having been a finalist in a number of awards throughout the year, Ecolighting has attended many awards evenings and a major logistics exhibition during the last few months and has also been recognising the achievements of its staff.

The company has also recently achieved ISO:14001:2015, which is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). The updated 2015 standard sets out the criteria for an environmental management system that a company or organisation can follow, and receiving certification shows that Ecolighting is prepared for any current and future challenges. This was recognised alongside gaining the updated ISO:9001:2015 standard.

2019 has also been a year that Ecolighting has concentrated on expansion, and has been busy developing a large area of its site. A new office area and breakout space has been created so that employees have somewhere to go to wind down in a more informal setting. Staff wellbeing is a priority for the business, so it is pleased to invest in its staff so that they can continue to thrive and can enjoy time off in more pleasant surroundings.

Following on from the expansion of its current team earlier this year, Ecolighting was also delighted to hear that that one of its electrical team had won Apprentice of the Year at an awards ceremony in Loughborough.

Dirk Lettinga, who came to Ecolighting from Loughborough College, beat three other finalists to receive the award during the summer, and continues to be a valuable asset to the company.

More recently, Ecolighting has been planning for 2020 and is looking to exhibit at a number of high profile shows over the next 12 months. The company also sponsored the Environment award at the Logistics Leadership awards in Solihull earlier this month, and was happy to present Sky TV / Unipart with the award for their part in removing single piece plastic from their supply chain.
